Junior Product Designer Plush Toys and Accessories
Description
We are looking for a junior designer with minimum of 1-3 years of experience in designing children’s products. A great drawing and sketching ability is a must and so are organization skills.
The ideal candidate should be a quick learning team player who can communicate effectively both verbally and visually in a fast paced environment. Some of the duties and responsibilities include to assist with the development, creation and design of new products, create designs by sketching and drawing, digitize sketches, in addition to manage, track and organize sample making, datelines and the complexion of projects.
Specific Skills
1. Strong design ability including 2D and 3D product development. This candidate should posses a strong sketching, graphic and drawing skill that will facilitate the design of new products.
2. Must have excellent communications skills and be able to deliver clear instructions and accurate style guides for sample making.
3. Excellent organization skills, ability to be analytical, work well with people, work independently and take initiative.
4. Strong digital skills including Photoshop and Illustrator. Should also be proficient to work in Mac platform and Office based programs such as Excel.
5. Basic understanding of manufacturing methods and processes including pattern making, sewing and stitching, silk screen printing, embroidery, as well as understanding of the manufacturing of plush toys, t-shirts, handbags and other soft goods and accessories.
